Dear Students and Colleagues,
As mentioned last class, please prepare a short text - 1000 characters, half a page (no more than one page) and a title. Send a first draft in time for next class, on November 2, but the final text deliver deadline is our class on November 9. ÊIf you send your text before noon Thursday Nov. 2, we may be able to give you some feedback, to help your final writing.
Objective:
For those of you that want - and can - attend the International Conference on Information Technologies & Public Participation, ICPPIT23, November 10 , you can write it as an abstract for presenting. ÊThat will be highly valued.
Since it is recommended, but not mandatory, that you attend ICPPIT23, you can also write the text as a way to consolidate what we have discussed in class so far.
You may present an overview of what you learned, and / or questions that you have or that remain to be explored, in your view; you also are free to present something that connects directly to your personal experience, concerns, and how it relates with class topics, and / or Monday Speaker Series Talks.
Remember the lessons from Cognitive Science: writing is an important way to consolidade our cognitive structuring of knowledge.
I am also attaching here the slides used in the last class (knowledge Representation and AI, part 1 on AI), and one reading that will be useful for Omar Razzaz class, on November 9.
Have a nice week and a pleasant remaining Sunday.
